I remember the magic of vinyl when I was growing up. Ol’ Chubby Chase, Charlie Pride, or Don Williams would float up from my dad’s den, accompanied by the static scratch of the needle and record. I was of course not allowed to touch the albums, and trust me he always knew when I did, but I would love to look at all the covers stacked in the red plastic Coke boxes. Well now not only can I have my own little turn table, I can have one which depicts my generation while reminiscing about his. It is the ION USB Turntable and it is awesome! 

These little windows to the past create a bridge to the now, letting us listen to all of the music that just didn’t seem to make the cut when the huge transformation to CD and then to MP3. With this little device you can simply plug in a USB cable into the back of the turn-table and connect it to your computer and enjoy your vinyl as it converts it to WAV, WMV and MP3s. I might even connect it to my tape deck and record some tapes for while I am cruizn’ in the Geo…oh yeah….. 

The ION USB turntable includes Audacity software for Mac/PC for recording as well as a trial of Bias Soundsoap 2 for cleaning and restoring vinyl. It features an adjustable pitch belt drive turntable, a USB cable, Line level RCA outputs, 33 and 45 RPM buttons. It does require a PC running Windows 98, 2000, XP, - Mac with OS9 or higher, and a USB port 1.1 or higher.
