So not to pick on the Gadget Blog or anything , but while I was being dazzled by the amazing tag bag, I saw another subtitle that caught my eye…” Mood Light Shelf” I thought to myself…..self, you like shelves, you like lights, and your always in a mood, this might not be too bad!

I clicked on the link and found the image rather interesting. An assortment of vivid shelfing units lit up like the Aurora Borealis…hues of green and red, it was beautiful. These are not normal shelves with directional pot lights, these are opaque seamless units that glow in their entirety with the color of choice….kind of reminding me of ice cones…taking on the color of the flavor…

All was well until I read the rest of the description. These are not merely aesthetic illuminations to compliment your home, no these are in fact MOOD lights, which are to warn others of your temperament. Yes they are controlled by an RF remote so you in fact have the last say on which color they will be, but the description makes them sound like a weird mood ring gone all wrong on your wall. They went from cute trick to tacky basement bar collection in like 5 sec max! As usual I was distracted by the shiny….Me bad..
