Truth be told I never contributed to it and was only excited about managing it because of the cute little mascot….you know….the balding jelly bean guy? I know, not a good reason for hosting a site, but well I dooooo like shinies!

Fact is I am just not geeky enough to do the site. This is not a good or bad thing, it is just a thing! To be envolved in such an adventure you need to not only schedule computer time into your daily routine, you need to thrive on it. Like a new chat room, you need to feel that rush of excitement every time you are about to log on, see a new comment, post a new message. Truth is I just don’t feel that rush , well I do when it is about me of course, but not about a site and a little purple jellybean.

 

The other fact is that if you are going to give the world something to read, something that they can be a part of, it needs to be interesting,,,,which translates to ” You had better have something worthy to contribute”. So the duty is on the author to not only write something they find interesting, but that the world will find captivating. Which, in the Purple Pod situation, ment that it better be about something technical. Well unless it is about Futurama, I am a disadvantage. I have no technical background other than Jon!That being said I do have lots to say about pretty much everything. So what do I do?Whenever someone just goes out there and tries something there is always going to be an onslaught of negativity…and frankly Bloreo can’t handle it. He is not very good around critisim…makes him mult….. And a naked penguin is not a comforting site…trust me!

So to the geeks of the world, I offer you my unexperienced, over fluffy and highly unresearched blog! A place where even the computer unworthy can strut their stuff and share a little VDU time….Yes I said VDU…probably as current as Atari right? On this site I promote jokes…in good form of course….and rants! The odd technical discovery is allowed, even applauded to help the rest of us ( on/off button challanged) learn. But mostly, this will be a place of “Did you know?” posts!
