eBay, friend or foe?
Okay so I have a problem. It is not as bad as it could be….after all it is not as if I am a Crack baby kleptomaniac with a clubbed foot or anything like that. However, I am addicted to shopping, especially shoe shopping. While I have always been able to control this rather primitive female urge, I am now officially off the wagon. I have discovered eBay. I am in such bad shape!
You see, I have had a bit of a snag with Ubuntu so far. I am having a real problem with my wifi. All of you have been so utterly helpful with suggestions of possible drivers or sites to use, but alas, Ubuntu has proven itself a slug. When I search the net for others with this problem, Ubuntu’s compatibility with my 4318 card, I see that many have had this nightmare and only about 50 of them have solved it. I have finally found the correct driver, but I had a lot of free time to surf on the desk top while my laptop was down. A lot to time to snoop. A lot of time to buy. The problem is that I don’t even really like the stuff I am bidding on. How many pink elephant trunk slippers does one need? It is the thrill of the hunt. The “What do you mean I have been out bid? I don’t think so! Here take that! Ha ha I have won!” And then there is the little post notice letting you know that you got a package! Ha Ha! Victory and surprise! Someone loves me!
But in the end it is time consuming and expensive. Some of the stuff fits, some would if I was a smurf, and other stuff just simply should never be allowed to be sold! Ebay is addictive! It is a lethal combination of shopping temptation with the thrill of gambling. Now that my wifi is back up, perhaps I can move on and away from its lure……
Now excuse me there is a Panda lamp with my name on it and some silly Australian thinks they are gonna get it with 2 min left…..And the game is on!

Just get Jon to block eBay on all your computers.
I’ve been considering doing that to MySpace since my sister spends so much time on it.
